What a wonderful thing. I never thought I would get involved with Facebook. It seemed too, "Myspace-ish", too, "text-message ~vs~ phone call". At 33yrs old, I have fallen way behind. The technology train has left. I do not own an Ipod, I don't know the difference between blue ray & blue tooth. Stop laughing! I don't know the difference and I really don't care. Besides, if I get really confused I know my 9yr old son can help his dear mother out.
Anyhow, although I felt silly, I signed up for Facebook. That's all I did, really. No profile, just signed up. I wanted to be able to look up old friends and whatnot. Now I have to admit- I really should have done this ages ago! So many people from my past are checking in to say hello. Amazing! I was able to reconnect with my high school exchange student from Sweden who I hadn't seen or spoken to in eight years. (I feel a bit shameful for that). Over the years I had thought of her often. It's good to know that her life has turned out well.
I'm fairly certain that there are many capabilities to Facebook that I have no idea about. I'm probably doing everything wrong and posting things in the wrong places. I'll probably get a reply from a stranger with bad intentions, but being that I'm a big girl, I bet I'll be able to handle it.
It's interesting to me how quickly I went from being in-the-know to what-just-happened?
