On to double digits! My little boy, oh, he hates it when I call him that. My little man has a big birthday today. Turning 10 is such a biggie at our house. I always get a little mushy around the kids' birthdays. Maybe it's because it reminds me of how fast time is flying by. Maybe it's because with each passing year, I see how less they need me. Perhaps it's because I can't help but think of the time they will leave the nest. Or, maybe it just reminds me that they aren't the only ones getting older. Hmmm... getting back to Hayden...
I would have to write a book, not a blog, in order to properly express how proud I am of him and how blessed I feel to be his mom. Ten years truly have flown by, but they have been completely filled with love and fun, some tears, more joy.

Happy Birthday Hayden - from the Swanks!!! We are so sad we had to miss your birthday celebration this year - it just doesn't seem like you should have a birthday without us...but you did and I hope you had a blast. We miss you bunches and hope 10 is as great as 9 was for you! Love from California...
