A Happy Thanksgiving, (almost)...

We had a very nice Thanksgiving, as I hope all of you did. Besides the normal Fab Four, (us), my mother, brother, sis-n-law, and my very cute and now walking niece joined us for the day. As my title said, it was a very nice day except that my dad was missing. As it has happened many times in the past, Dad has had to work Christmas Tree Harvest on Thanksgiving. I fondly remember many Thanksgiving feasts of beans & weenies on the tailgate of Dad's truck. I realize why he couldn't be with us, but I missed him. My kids missed him too, and my pessimistic side showed itself when I quietly wondered to myself how many more Thanksgivings I have left with my parents. Darn my pessimistic side!

Anyhow, thanks to Bryan, the 25lb turkey was yummy and there was quite the spread. We ate 'til it felt bad and enjoyed each other's company. My little niece was such a joy and it was so fun to see her walking! Let the fun begin!
