Another Reason to Love Jill...

She's gone and done it again. Jill has a knack for making my heart pound out of my chest with pride and sometimes makes it melt into a gooey lovey mess.
Yesterday she informed me that there was a bee on the back patio. Okaaay...I know she and her brother are terribly afraid of bees. So there's a bee on the patio- what now? She asked me to come take a look at it. I've seen many a bee in my life, do I really need to see one more? Oh, but her eyes pleaded, and we went outside together. She pointed to the ground and said, " Mommy, I've been watching that bee all day and I'm really worried about it. It won't fly and it's walking slow. I'm afraid something bad will happen to it." Bless her little bee-love'n heart. Since Jill began talking, she has always insisted that she will be a veterinarian when she grows up. Even after her brother informed her that she will need A LOT of school, or that she will encounter A LOT of blood and guts, or the worst in Jill's mind- she may need to put some poor animals down. When it comes to her love of animals, the way they live, the way they act, she has never doubted her future ability to care for them. Honestly, neither have I. When Jill says she's gonna do something- she does it! Really, who could not believe in someone who kept going outside every fifteen minutes to make sure nothing happened to "her bee"?
